Sep 27, 2014 · I have rolled back to 2.01.86 this morning and the WD TV Live is completely stable again like it always was. Files that I recently have had issues with are working perfectly again. I am very confident that there is a real issue with firmware 2.02.32 and look forward to WD resolving that one. I will stick to 2.01.86 for now. Which is a bit old … and may require a “sequential update” ie. update to 1.16.13 first… then update to 2.02.32 ? Thanks for the reply. I've already got the older WDTV Live and have it working with Playon media server and can access netflix/ hulu etc, but was after something a little more family friendly.ie something that doesn't rely on the media server running in the background, but still has all the functionality of the wdtv live, including the umsp streaming thats available using the B-Rad software
Western Digital's New WD TV Does Netflix
Question regarding Netflix on a Samsung smart TV in I am very familiar with Netflix in Australia and I have set it up on playstation, wii, Xbox, WDTV, I use unblock US. Has anyone had any luck getting netflix on a Samsung smart TV? Can't seem to change my region from either Australia, NZ or Singapore to USA. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
WDTV and WDTV Live. Hardware wise, they look identical with the difference being just a sticker. The newer player is called just WDTV, it does Miracast (video sharing to TV from phone/PC) additionally but does not do Netflix. If you want Netflix you must go for the WDTV Live(older version). The ad I am pretty sure for WDTV as opposed to WDTV Live.
