.NET 3.5 SP1 Installation fails on Windows 7
Nov 09, 2012 · Windows 7 comes with the .NET Framework 3.5.1: this means that you have the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 plus a few post 3.5 SP1 bug fixes on Windows 7. They are OS components. Why do you want to remove the .NET Framework? Bye. Says the install for 3.5.1 SP1 on Windows 7 is from Jan. 8, 2013, but it still won't install properly. It's failed dozens of times and won't go away. I've tried the Windows Update diagnostic fix tool, with the little guy+toolbox icon, and it just wiped out my Windows Update history without actually fixing the problem.
